From an economic standpoint, wood—and exotic wood in particular—is nature’s most valuable product. Preventing the loss of tropical rainforests is undoubtedly one of the key issues for the future of humanity. This is not merely a local environmental problem of developing countries but a global question concerning all of us. Therefore, we introduce the „Viridis Wood“ technology, through which we will support the implementation of World Wildlife Fund (WWF) programs.
WHAT IS THE NEW "VIRIDIS WOOD" TECHNOLOGY
It is an innovative technology for processing our deciduous trees according to precisely defined parameters, resulting in specifically modified wood with new characteristics. In its physical, chemical, mechanical, and acoustic properties, it is comparable to exotic woods from rainforests such as teak, mahogany, rosewood, or ebony.
GLOBAL APPLICATION OF "VIRIDIS WOOD"
The excellent physical, chemical, mechanical, and aesthetic properties of „Viridis Wood“ compared to other woods create possibilities for its versatile use in various industrial sectors—that is, everywhere wood, plastics, or light metals are currently used. The main reasons for replacing these materials with „Viridis Wood“ are its resistance to weather conditions, woodworms, wood-decaying fungi, its availability and price, and, last but not least, its minimal maintenance.
When comparing all the properties of „Viridis Wood,“ its applicability in the global market is evident, as demonstrated by our market research. During the pre-sale phase, we approached several significant manufacturers from various industrial sectors and small-scale producers. Their expressed interest in future procurement, as well as the results of their internal testing of the physical and mechanical properties, have unequivocally demonstrated the enormous potential of this product on a global scale.
APPLICATION OF THE NEW "VIRIDIS WOOD" TECHNOLOGY
There is room for the application of „Viridis Wood“ in extensive industrial areas that currently use various types of exotic woods—not just for their exclusive appearance, as an uninformed person might initially think, but especially because of their physical and mechanical properties, which are irreplaceable in industrial production. The core sectors we can consider are shipbuilding, aviation, construction, musical instrument manufacturing, gunsmithing, and furniture making.
APPLICATION IN GUNSMITHING
Given its physical and mechanical properties, „Viridis Wood“ is an ideal material for manufacturing various parts of long and short firearms and cold weapons. The main advantage of this wood is its structural stability and maximum resistance to climatic influences. Therefore, it is an ideal material for producing parts of hunting rifles such as stocks and fore-ends, handles and grips of pistols, as well as cold and mechanical weapons, knives, crossbows, and bows. This stability ensures trouble-free functionality of other, especially metal, parts of weapons. After fine surface finishing, it gives weapons a new aesthetic appearance.
APPLICATION IN CONSTRUCTION
Wood has been an integral part of construction since time immemorial, but at the cost of requiring repeated and expensive maintenance to preserve its physical, mechanical, and aesthetic properties. In the case of „Viridis Wood,“ this need is practically a thing of the past. „Viridis Wood“ is an ideal material for constructing frequently stressed and hard-to-reach wooden elements of buildings such as load-bearing structures and roofs, as well as exterior facade cladding and terrace flooring exposed to harsh weather conditions.
APPLICATION IN SHIPBUILDING
„Viridis Wood“ will find wide application in the production of private motorboats and sailboats, as well as their interiors, due to its resistance to weather conditions, woodworms, rot fungi, and especially saltwater. Manufacturing stressed components of ships and boats from „Viridis Wood“ provides significant opportunities for saving materials and maintenance costs, as it is several times more durable than natural material. It also withstands demanding conditions such as harbor piers, edges of luxury pools, and surrounding walkways.
APPLICATION IN AVIATION
The advantage of using „Viridis Wood“ in the production of light motorized and non-motorized aircraft lies in its mechanical properties—strength, hardness, toughness, several times higher bending and compression strength compared to natural wood, and lower weight compared to metals used in the aviation industry. An important factor is also its minimal maintenance compared to natural wood.
APPLICATION IN MUSICAL INSTRUMENT MANUFACTURING
An integral part of manufacturing musical instruments—stringed, plucked, keyboard, wind, and percussion instruments, whether whole or specific parts—is the use of materials from exotic and rare woods. Their physical and mechanical properties ensure unique sound conductivity and distinctive tones. Tests have shown that „Viridis Wood“ exhibits equal and, in some cases, better resonance results than many much more expensive and currently hard-to-obtain exotic woods.
APPLICATION IN FURNITURE MAKING
Solid wood furniture is becoming increasingly sought after, especially garden furniture. This is mainly due to its natural appearance and inherent properties. „Viridis Wood“ is highly resistant to external weather conditions—wind, sun, rain, and surprisingly also frost and snow. It does not require any special surface treatment and is perfectly suited for these purposes.

ECOLOGY AND ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT
According to official data from global environmental institutions and Interpol (International Criminal Police Organization), illegal logging and trade in exotic wood represent over USD 157 billion per year. One of the advantages of our technology, given sufficient production capacity, is the potential for significantly reducing the devastation of tropical rainforests due to excessive logging of exotic woods and replacing them with „Viridis Wood.“
The preparation and implementation of the project are designed to prevent undesirable environmental impacts. Special attention is paid to the protection of surface and groundwater and gaseous emissions.
Zero-Waste Technology
„Viridis Wood“ – zero-waste technology.
The waste generated during production is further processed into boards, beams, firewood, briquettes, and pellets for use in biomass boilers for heat and energy production.
The process water has a closed system, i.e., a circuit without discharge into the sewage system.
The resulting urea and ammonium sulfate are further processed in chemical plants, where they are used to produce agricultural fertilizers, or they are captured in a chemical treatment plant that is part of the planned operation.
TESTING – "VIRIDIS WOOD"
Testing of the physical and mechanical properties of the modified „Viridis Wood“ was conducted in the laboratories of the Institute of Wood Science, Faculty of Forestry and Wood Technology, Mendel University in Brno, on samples produced in a vertical autoclave. Beech wood compressed in the tangential direction was used, and tests were carried out in two stages. The results are in tables, presented according to Czech standards.
Tests conducted according to ČSN 490101, 490103, 490104, and 490123.
The processor issued certificates as follows:
751 – Density
752 – Equilibrium moisture content
753 – Shrinkage coefficient
754 – Swelling coefficient

PROJECT OBJECTIVES
The main goal of the project is to build a modern and innovative company implementing digital technologies, offering new possibilities for flexible production. The company will include a scientific research center for testing and further development of the „Viridis Wood“ technology, which will meet legislative and environmental conditions and Industry 4.0 guidelines. The established technology will allow us to launch optimized and automated production, offering an alternative solution to one of the most critical problems of our planet—the deforestation of tropical rainforests. According to our calculations, with the growth of the product portfolio, this is a highly profitable investment with a global future perspective.
The „Viridis Wood“ technology enables us to replace exotic wood with a full-fledged substitute in cases where this compensation is explicitly suitable. We do not live under the illusion that our new technology will completely replace the market for exotic woods. However, we do know that on a global scale, it will mitigate the negative impacts of the destruction not only of tropical rainforests but also of natural resources.
